(Our first worship album, released as The Praise Record in 2014.)

After years of trying to reconcile split identities -- as music ministers on Sunday and indie-rock musicians the rest of the week -- Jackie and Matt LeFevers have decided to strike a balance with The Praise Record. "All These Things Will Pass Away" is a worship album at heart, but all of the musicianship and creativity that characterize the best secular music have been brought to bear on this love letter to the divine. The alt-rock anthem of "Philippians 4" is far removed from the unsettling darkness of "Come Closer" or the stark beauty of "In The Garden". In much the same way, the reassuring lyrics of "Be Still" are a world away from the fragile doubt of "Sweep Me Up". Whether it's in the music or the message, The Praise Record believes that worship has many sides and many stories, and that God can be reached in more ways than one.

Track Name: Philippians 4
Father, I’m fearful; I ache for Your touch
Come down… come close
Then Your voice reassures me
You're not far away
You're here... You're now
So I’ll rejoice for my Lord is at hand

Through You I can do all things
Though I may fear, my fear is nothing to Your majesty
You are my everything, the very air I breathe
I draw You deep into my lungs and I am ready for anything

Father, I’m kneeling, my tongue has confessed
Hold fast... hold on
No, I will not be anxious, my heart’s in Your hands
You won’t let go
I will rejoice for my Lord is at hand

If there is any truth, Lord, let it speak to me
If there is any love, let me love honestly
If anything is pure, let me aspire to be
If there is any praise, I’ll be the first to sing

I will rejoice for my Lord is at hand
Again, I say, rejoice for the Lord is at hand
I will rejoice, I will rejoice
I will rejoice
Track Name: Eternal Life
Hour by hour, my days are passing by
But I’m getting closer to the ending and the start
Of where I’m meant to be, shining like the sky
The brightness of the stars, forever and ever
With You, God

This is eternal life
This is the day and night
Endlessly the world moves on in Your eternal love
You are making all things new
You arose so we could follow
We lay our lives before You, Lord
Everything I am is Yours

Salvation is nearer, it’s closer than before
Now is the moment to wake up and rejoice
In where I’m meant to be, shining like the sky
The brightness of the stars, forever and ever
With You, God
Track Name: Sweep Me Up
I used to think that I was unbeatable, unstoppable
Perfect, pure in grace
I faced the demons armed with light and faith
I used to think that I was brave

Sweep me up, sweep me up into Your arms one more time
Take me, Lord, take me away from this place just for tonight

I used to think that a life of faith meant providence, deliverance
Freedom from pain
I was saved from life and death, saved from tears
I used to think that I was safe
Track Name: Stumble, Fall and Rise
Crumpled to the earth once more, heart broken again
All for You, I try so hard, but there’s so much I can’t do
God, give me the strength to stand for just a moment longer
Each time I feel so weak, but I know that I will rise again

Through Your eyes, I’ll see the grace of my failures
With Your hands, I’ll lift myself from the ground
O, God, I know You’re with me
I know You’re here
As I stumble, fall and rise

This weight brings me to my knees, so I say Your name in praise
Jesus, grant me peace as I lay my burdens down

I falter in my steps, but never in my trust
Your name is all I need to make it through my darkest days
Track Name: Come Closer
Come closer, for my bones are troubled
Come closer, my soul is afraid
I know You; I know You are listening
But how long, how long can I wait?

I am broken, I am poured out like water
I am broken, the light fading fast
My heart is wax, it is melted within me
Lay me down in the dust of death

My Lord, salvation
For You, I wait
I am waiting still
I’m calling out

Come closer, my pain is before me
Come closer, I am ready to fall
Before you, I confess my failings
I am nothing before you, O Lord

My Lord, salvation
For You, I wait
I am waiting still
I’m calling out to You

My Lord... my refuge
My haven and my home
My God... my shelter
The longing of my soul
Track Name: Be Still
Be still and know that you are loved more than can be said
Nothing can harm your heart, while it rests within My hands

Don’t let your soul be troubled
Don’t let it be afraid
I will wipe away your tears
All these things will pass away

Be still and know that I am God, the beginning and the end
The One who is, who was, and who is coming, the Almighty

Peace I leave with you, peace I give to you
Peace I leave with you, peace I give to you
Track Name: More Than Your Name
I never know what to say in Your presence; I’m awestruck and weak
On my knees, I pray for a way to convey what You are to me
My Father, my friend, my savior, my end
This language holds me back, my tentative mind restricts

Help me to find a way to whisper more than Your name
Jesus, help me to find a way to explain Your grace, Your glory to the world

There are no perfect words for perfection, my breath falls short
And sometimes silence is praise enough, but I know You want me to speak
My Father, my friend, my savior, my end
This language holds me back, my tentative mind restricts

Speak through me, speak through me
Speak through me, speak through me
Track Name: In The Garden
In the garden, I heard You whisper,
“Sit here while I pray.
My soul is swallowed up in sorrow.
Father, take this cup from me.”

From afar, I heard Your quiet plea,
“Please, let this moment pass.
But if this is to be my hour,
Then let Your will, not mine, be done.”

Then footsteps in the dirt, towards my resting head...

“Brother, are you sleeping?
Could you not keep awake one hour?
Won’t you stay awake and pray?”
But I didn’t know, I didn’t know what to say,
So I kept my eyes shut until You walked away.

I heard the angel who gave You strength.
How I wish I had the same.
Is it true, Lord, that I’ll deny my way, my truth, my life?
Track Name: I Wait For You
I wait for you, Lord
My soul waits
My heart is not proud
I am calm and quiet

I put my hope in You, Lord, now and forever
I put my trust in Your name, I will sing hallelujah
Through the sorrow, I will sing

I wait for You, Lord
My soul waits
In Your word, I hope
In Your spirit, I pray

Though my voice may fail, I will call on You alone
I will give You praise, in a whisper, in a song
Track Name: The Stone Beneath The Tree
I know, I know you’re broken
It’s all too much to bear
Time stands still, as the world moves on
And you’re caught in between

Peace be with you, joy will come again
It won’t be long now
Rest your weary heart, trust in Heaven’s love
Believe it’s all we need… believe

God knows the pain you’re feeling
He sees every hidden tear
With each whispered prayer and each secret doubt
He’s holding onto you
